WOW this is a toughy. Its deffo between Simpsons and friends. I cdont think spongebob is funny. sorry but i cant stand that show.

I love spongebob , well i suppose it appeals to younger adults and children although my 43 year old dad loves it !!!

Spongebob is hilarious but simpsons has been going on for so much longer and there is usually something classic in each episode.

The Simpsons is one of the greatest TV shows around! One of the best bits was when they did a Simpsons Christmas Special for the UK (I do not know if you saw it in the US), and the best lines were:
Marge: Oh my goodness, it's a visit from Father Christmas!
Homer: Yes my,... who the hell is Father Christmas, I thought I was supposed to be Santa Claus
Lisa: Whispers They're the same guy
Homer: Whispers Which one is Jesus' grandfather?
Marge: SHOUTS They both are!
Homer: He had two grandfathers? They're gay?
THE SIMPSONS RULE!!!

I really miss the show, Friends.
But I could only pick one and in the case, I picked The Simpsons.
