Hello!

My names chaz and I think this site is ace!

I just wanted to introduce my self, me and my husband like collecting autographs but so far we don't have much apart from the one i got in person from Ant and Dec {love} (before we mainly collected Film cell displays)

Thanks for making such a great site, today I wrote my Letters to Rodney Bewes and David Tennant and a few more going to go tomorow.

I would just like to ask can someone fill me in on the lingo I keep seeing words shorted into few letters, obviosly I know Stamped self address envalope but the others? I'm kinda simple that way

I maybe can't remember all the "lingo" used but I'll do what I can to help If there's anything specific you don't know, just post it and someone will let you know


PP - A pre-print. One photo had been signed by the celebrity and then that photo was copied several times to be sent to fans.

IP - In person. An autograph that someone got, in person They met the celeb and they signed for them.

VV - Via venue. A letter, etc was sent to, EG, a specific place where a band is playing. You could get an autograph that way since it's delivered to the venue they are at and if they have time to sign while there, they will. (Not all venue's pass on fan mail though, you have to check with the venue first to see if they will take it).

AP - Auto pen. Not too sure how it actually works, I guess it's some type of machine that holds the pen and puts the signature on a photo, but I know for sure it's something that definitely hasn't been signed by the celebrity anyway.


I can be rubbish at explaining things so if you're still unsure, just say and I might be able to re-phrase or someone with better skills can answer
