Also maybe a seperate category for sports success, film and music success and an everything else category. I dont like seeing 1/2 of the success being from people that were ms teen or the Geico commercial guy

Seperate category for preprint photo "success"
people post a success when they recieve a preprint or just a photo. I have tons of photos and really do not consider an unsigned, facsimile or autopen photo to be a success. Make a seperate category for this.

Re: Seperate category for preprint photo "success"
i think that would be an excellent idea. i don't consider them successes, and i'm never sure if it's a preprinted success link i'm about to click on
JANUARY SUCCESSES:: Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, Shawn Johnson, Rob Schneider, Nikki Reed.
Re: Seperate category for preprint photo "success"
Exactly I hate that. What I hate worse is the people posting a known preprint as an authentic success. They have to know thats a facsimile signature yet they fail to mention it or say they think it could be a pre-print. Why do this????? The only thing this does is makes people send out nonly to get the same autograph that is a facsimile. Anyway its a good idea I think. well i agree with you on your first idea of putting pre print auto print autos on a different fourm but i disagree with you about saying sports autographs should be on a different fourm.
Re: Seperate category for preprint photo "success"
Good idea, but where would you post the ones you aren't sure about?

Re: Seperate category for preprint photo "success"
If you differentiate one category from the other (authentic successes from non-authentic ones), you open the forum up to free-loaders/dealers etc,who will all flock to the authentic successes section, and spam those poor celebs into oblivion, just because they send out genuine responses. Basically, if you do that, you're encouraging people to 'bum' a free autograph off the authentic signers. Another point to consider is, how many people know the authenticity of their autograph? You'll have tons of people posting in the wrong section (e.g an AP in the authentic section), and that'll just create even more work for us mods who have to move the topics, clear up confusion........rittdk01 wrote:people post a success when they recieve a preprint or just a photo. I'm sorry, but that's a bit of a silly suggestion. Everybody has their own tastes and if you're not interested in a certain celebrity's feedback, it's simple - don't click on it! Another member made the same suggestion because he was sick of seeing feedback from footballers (or what Americans call soccer players), but really, it's the simplest thing to just ignore it if it doesn't interest you. I really don't see the point...what do you do if someone receives an autograph from a celeb like Derren Brown then? Do we make a sub-forum for magician feedback? You can't put everything into neat little boxes, it's impractical. Also maybe a seperate category for sports success, film and music success and an everything else category. That said, thanks for your suggestion
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.

Yeah I think it's a good idea. But I do think it'll bring a lot more work for the mods. People will still post it in the normal feedback forum, maybe not deliberately, but the mods will still have to go through all of the posts and move them to the correct place. Also, people may not know whether it is real or not so they wouldn't know where to put it.
But yeah if it works it'd be a good idea, but I can see it confusing things lol.

Good idea, but i think a sub-forum in feedback is great
Sports- I disagree because that can just go in feedback because, well, it's still feedback
Also if you weren't sure we can always have a mod move it for you

Re: Seperate category for preprint photo "success"
This has already been discussed with admins/mods, etc. It will never happen. Just isn't worth the hassle and basically has to do with everything that Shambler has said.
Not to say it isn't a reasonable idea, but it just won't be happening anytime soon if at all.
