Get rid of reputation points

Its abuse of the system. If a bad rep is warranted on ONE post, fair enough - but people then go searching for other posts, its pathetic and childish.

At the end of the day, it's just a reputation point system. It doesn't really stand for anything so just ignore it.

Heres some more evidence of rep abuse

5 positives from the same person, a person who has no posts. Also the "0 poster" and the person who actually received the reps, both frequently give me bad reps.

Another case of 2 accounts, 1 person. Pathetic.

There may be 'evidence' to support your claims but can't the reputation system just be ignored? There are worse things going on in the world.

No, it can be ignored when people abuse it.

Take for example the bad rep I got today by someone who clearly started a 2nd account TODAY just to give a bad rep point - its sad!

Cant these people be banned?

The system works 99% of the time, but when people make 2nd accounts to rep each other and give multiple bad reps to the same person, well then they need removing.

like, who cares? they're just reputation points. don't be too sensitive about it. it's not like a test result or anything..it's just the internet.
