Cleanup?

hi guys

Since the forum is used by so many people..Over the time, it has become utterly cluttered with replies and such... so we were wondering if it would be possible to do a little clean-up (Maybe replies over half a year old to be removed or such?)

Since it's incredibly busy from time to time

Old threads get locked generally, so theres no need to delete them.

Im not really sure where you're referring to, is there any specific area you can point out that you feel needs "tidying"?

just generally..since there's about 50-60 pages on every board-part ...

forums with a lotta topix on them (old/new/..) just make pc's run slower in general :s

Im a member on other forums that have 10x more topics than this one and have no slow down at all, so it makes no difference to me.

I also dont see that deleting topics would benefit the forum - the majority of threads have substance to them, so deleting them would do more harm than good (especially if people searched before making new threads)

I agree, I think the majority of topics from before January 2007 can be locked and deleted, especially the ones in the trash section. Maybe it would make the forum run faster?

well... it sometimes freezes up (which is for sure not the pc's fault because this is the only forums we're having problems with)

I don't think it's a good idea. Feedback Posts from before Jan 2007 can be helpful, especially in feedback.

The amount of threads has nothing to do with the forum occasionally not working though.

i think the older posts can be very helpful, as someone said especially in the feedback section. my computer runs really fast so i don't know if it runs slow for anyone...?
