Venue List, kind of new idea I think

I think it would be nice to have a list in the VV forum of venues that do pass on fanmail, and venues who don't so that way you can just check the list to see if you should try sending a letter there. If you knew of one that wasn't on the list you could add it, and if you emailed and asked, or just knew from expeirience you could add it. I think there would need to be two lists, one for venues who do, and one for venues that don't.

I don't know if this is already a feature and I just haven't noticed it, or if somebody already suggested it, so if either of those are true, sorry about that.

I think it'll be very helpful!! I'll make a sticky for it in the add/request address for this!! I'll have one big list and if others have info on venues that pass on fanmail then I'll add it to that!! It'll be divided into countries so it'll be easy to find the venue!

I was thinking of just putting the ones that do!!! I think it would be too much of a hassle to put both! Plus then the thread would be VERY long and I would think people would get confused.

There is a problem of just posting the ones that do. If you leave a venue off because they don't pass on mail, someone might not realise this as they believe that no one has asked about it. As such, they may ask the other members of this forum whether or not the venue does pass on fan mail. This may happen many times with different members asking in relation to one venue (I hope you get what I mean.)

It would be better to list both ones that do and don't, so people can have a look and check, and won't need to ask whether this venue or that venue passes on mail or not.

That's what I had been thinking too, but I can understand how if it was to long people would get discouraged and stop looking.
