Ban the reputation points

I dont think its right having 'Reputation' points, what is the purpose of them, apart from to judge the user based on what you think of them? and someone just gave me a minus point written 'hahaha youre sooo funny' with no post refrence.... :x

and reputation points help you determine the users' attitude. you give people a Plus for helping you on the forum, helping you find an address, etc.., and a minus for being rude.

They shouldnt be eliminated.

I didnt see this and made the same thread. Theyre pointless, they get removed, and little kids who cant handle the truth give out multiple bad reps in one go. They need to go, or at least have limits put on them, like 1 per member, you must rep 20 others before rep that person again.

yeah that is a good point. I dont understand why negative rep points are removed when the person asks admin.

I've recieved negative feedback in the past by a user for helping him or her .... Then again with the amount of addresses i've found haven't recieved many good rep points for that either.

i really don't care about the rep. points but when it comes to business, that's where it counts. I've started arguing when a user and out of no where, this other user gives me a negative point and started insulting me for no reason and I didn't even talk to that person..I say keep the rep. points though for business

I think a game that I played's system will work here. The game have this thing call "fame" and you can only "fame" one person per day and you can't "fame" the same person for a month. This might just cure the problem

I think this is a good discussion with many different views and there are a lot of different personalities and if you think you have done something good and the other person didn’t think that, its better to leave it out and its hard to understand this but in the mean time it better

I didnt understand it either, but the reputation system is dead anyway, hopefully it stays that way...
