Sending Photos;;

Hi, so this is just a suggestion. I'm new here, and I dunno if I should be doing this but... ohwell.

Okay, so I, personally, find it really difficult to procure nice, high-quality pictures to be autographed. I know that some celebrities will send you back an autograph with a picture regardless of whether or not you send one, and then other celebrities will only sign their own pictures.

Maybe it would help a lot of people if we could put together a list of celebs we know will send you an autograph regardless of whether or not you send them a photo? Or put a notice on their address page or something? I know lots of people would appreciate it.

Also - chances are, I'm missing something. Any 'I've-been-in-the-business-for-a-while' tips on how to get good pictures of signing?

Personally I think its too much effort the the end result. Too many people would just take advantage of the celeb's generosity if we made a list anyway in my opinion.

Best thing to do is check recent feedback of a celeb you're planning to send to, and see if they supplied their own pic.

However, would it really be so much work? Just sticky a topic, and anyone who's sent a pictureless letter and gotten an autograph back could post what celebrity they got it from and it would go relatively smoothly, but I see what you mean.

Alos, about taking advantage - you're definitely right there, although I'm sure it's easier for the celebrities to get nice pictures of themselves then for us to get nice pictures of them. =)

It wouldn't be a lot of work, but the abuse factor comes into play. True, the celeb will have easy access to better photos that we can send but if we post a huge list of stars that will provide their own pic, then people would start writing to them for the sole purpose of a free autograph.

I've been sending out, cards for celebs to sign. I know some dont like signing cards.
But a lot do. At least it's not them, to come up with something all the time.

It kinda, makes their load a little lighter, and they will be more likely to sign agian. {thumb2}
