ianwzxr and cowboys issue...

I know other mods have noticed it, but I haven't seen any posts on it...

These two are constantly arguing and being rude to each other on the forums. They are leaving each other negative reputation points that say "dork" or "really when will you leave" etc. It was a good idea, Larisie, locking the Matthew Brodrick Success thread

What does everyone else think about their fighting and what can we do?

Well, lately I haven't seen anything between those two members at all, but I would hope it has stopped!!

Also, It was no problem!!! I just did what I thought was necessary to do!! I sure didn't want anymore bickering between the two going on!!

Luckily, we haven't seen ianwzxr since the incident, so that's a good thing

However, this issue of fighting extends to all members of the forum who intentionally pick fights with others, not specifically these two.

Fighting on the forum is not a good thing, and it can be difficult to police these issues at times. The most we can do is delete, edit or lock posts, give warnings and in extreme circumstances - warnings, banning of members and blocking of IP's (if possible.)

In order to keep these issues under control, we need to remain vigilant, constantly check posts to make sure they're in order, and remove the unlawful posts.

P.S. Just on a side note, I was having a look at cowboys' reputation points and ianwzxr's given him a number of negative points . The suprising thing was there was a user named larry75 who has been giving him many positive posts for no major reason. This user, larry75 hasn't posted at all on the forum. I'm guessing this is one of cowboys' aliases to try and neutralise any negative reputation points received. What does everyone else think? Should we do anything about this?

hey,

I believe the ian fellow was banned from the site after all his rude remarks about people and leaving negative feebacks with bashing, cursing and offensive matter. I spoke to cowboys that day and asked him politely to refrain from using bad language or talking back and just to leave it because truly it's not worth it and the moderators would attened to it. Cowboys was very nice and understanding and apologized for talking the way he did.

Lets hoope this doesn't happen again!!

This actually happened about 2+ weeks ago I think you are viewing an old thread

We had a couple of days of total nightmare arguing on the forum, but it was resolved when I banned ianwzxr's IP address

I have just removed all the reputation points from cowboys profile that ianwzxr gave him, and I have PMed cowboys to tell him.

I have also asked cowboys not to register multiple accounts (i.e. Larry75) with the intent to abuse the reputation system. I think he just wanted to balance up the score a bit but I have asked him to PM me with problems in the future rather than takeing things into his own hands
