Canadian Postal Prices Update!

Hey everyone!

Starting the 15th of January (which was the beginning of last week) the Canadian post increased the prices of stamps. Here are the NEW and updated prices, which are shown in BOLD!! Sorry about the bit of delay in posting this..I actually only found out this week!! *There is a slight chance there may be more updates needed for the USA and International postage, but what I have updated is all that the Canada Post site has changed.

Can someone please update the post in Collecting Help on postage prices for Canada? Thanks!

Sending FROM Canada TO Canada

Standard Envelopes, cards or postcards up to 30g is $0.52
Standard Envelopes, cards or postcard 31g to 50g is $0.93

Oversized or Non-Standard up to 100g is $1.10
Oversized or Non-Standard from 101g to 200g is $1.86
Oversized or Non-Standard from 201g to 500g is $2.55

Sending FROM Canada TO the US

Standard Envelopes, cards or postcard up to 30g is $0.93
Standard Envelopes, cards or postcard from 31g to 50g is $1.05

Oversized or Non-Standard up to 100g is $1.78
Oversized or Non-Standard from 101g to 200g is $2.99
Oversized or Non-Standard from 201g to 500g is $5.98

Sending FROM Canada TO International Countries

Standard Envelopes, cards or postcards up to 30g is $1.55
Standard Envelopes, cards or postcards from 31g to 50g is $2.10

Oversized or Non-Standard up to 100g is $3.49
Oversized or Non-Standard up to 101g to 200g is $5.98
Oversized or Non-Standard up to 201g to 500g is $11.98

This is one of the most popular (and referred to ) threads, so thanks to you both for keeping it up to date

Hi,

No problem nowandagain and Ian!! Glad I could let you guys know of the changes. I was SO shocked to hear they went up! I found it odd when I searched the new prices that further prices for the USA and International were unchanged, but that's good news for us Canadians sending letters!!

i wrote to ashley leggat in an 8x13 envelope or something like that.. i used 2 stamps (39 cents).... i sent in early january, will it get sent back to me?

Hi courtney,

I was at the post office on friday and I overheard the lady behind the counter say that the Canadian post is giving a year of leaway...can't remember how she put it. Basically, your letter should get there and *HOPEFULLY* returned without any problems. If you get Canadian stamps you can use the 51cent ones for the rest of the year from my understanding.
