I just wanted to bring to your attention to some concerns I have about warnings on the forum:
Please remember, you can only give somebody a warning if they are in breach of one of the terms of membership of Fanmail.biz, of if they have made some other (provable) intentional error or for an act of gross misconduct.
I know how annoying it can be, but you can't be giving warnings just because somebody annoys you!

Please don't be too eager to issue warnings when a polite request or enquiry or PM will do a better / more friendly job! As moderators, we need members to feel that they can approach us - not be scared of us.
The whole warning system needs to be used with caution, otherwise it becomes ineffective! Once you have warned somebody, then where do you go? It should be a last resort.
Also, when you set the duration of the warning, please try to keep it realistic and in line with the severity of the offence.
Sorry if you don't agree with me, - but as the veteran moderator I am concerned that the system is used with care!
Ian
