I have just gotten a few really WEIRD Private messages from veggie627 saying...

we can put e-mails in anti-spam format...

BEFORE: 1234@yahoo.com

After: 1234ATyahooDOTcom or 1234 @ yahoo.com


I hope this helps with the list!

I really don't know what to think of that or WHAT it means...

Did anyone else get this message??

Wow Chrissy, that's pretty weird!!!

What a random PM from that member. I'm not really sure what its about as I haven't received one, but I'm guessing he wants a list of emails on the forums!? Members just don't understand why we can't inforce a complete list of emails no matter how many times a mod states why we can't!

I haven't received that PM at all, but I'm pretty sure he wants a list of celebrity email addresses for requests.

As these lists of email addresses may only create spam to these addresses, I'm pretty sure he's trying to say that we should have the addresses written a certain way to stop spam from being created and sent to the addresses on the list (a lot of the time people have programs to scan web pages for email addresses so they can send spam).

Obviously the problem with having these email address lists is that everyone will be trying to get a request from those specific persons. This may discourage celebrities from answering and sending out responses to people's email requests.

I guess you should just ignore the PM altogether.

What they want is for us to post a list of email addresses, but rather than listing:
another@wherever.com
...... we could list them as another at wherever dot com

That way they cannot be gathered so easily by spammers.

Unfortunately for us I don't think it would make a lot of difference as to how much they were (over) used!

I would just ignore the post
