Re: hockeyfan1994
Do you want me to make a public apology thread?
I'll apologise to everyone for not banning this guy yet!
(Even though I cant ban, but you know what I mean!)

Just ignore his dumb PM. That's what I'm doing.Andy316 wrote:Do you want me to make a public apology thread?

But still, I really wish he'd be banned. He's practically mocking us!
I would, but then is there enough "evidence" to support a banning?

Theres the same amount of evidence to give seamus a warning about his fake Harry Potter successes, and all his threads deleted, so theres certainly enough evidence for a "clean up" at the very least.ldy josie x wrote:Just ignore his dumb PM. He is claiming that he will be meeting President Bush this weekend; do you think that is true?

Hey everyone,
I'm new to accessing this board, but I thought I'd put my thoughts in. I'm obviously in the minority here, but I would give him the benefit of the doubt. He's in the military, and from what I've seen in the past, it actually DOES increase your chance of success. Also, most of the movie set successes he's posted are RARE, but not unheard of. For instance, I know of several people who have gotten Charlize Theron (she's signed for a few lucky people at various movie sets), Hugh Jackman (he signed for a few lucky people c/o X2 and a play he did), Jessica Biel (she signed c/o Stealth)... before this guy. Somebody I trust immensely got Charlize authentically just last year c/o a movie set when I got her usual autopen at the same address. I myself have gotten authentic Morgan Freeman, Hilary Swank, Johnny Depp TTM in the past. It may also be luck of the draw. For instance, people on these boards have recently reported authentic successes from Amanda Seyfried, Marion Cotillard, and Cillian Murphy. I wrote to all 3 at the same addresses and have had nothing back.
Regarding this post: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... t=#p404371
It's not unreasonable, especially if he's been collecting since 1994. It used to be pretty good to mail via venue/movie sets, but since it's become so popular in the past few years, it's a lot harder to get successes via venue/movie sets. I personally know people or had personal authentic successes with almost all the people mentioned on the list (although mostly several years ago, which he also acknowledges).
Also now that he has a link to his website, you can see he does have some secretarials that people normally get, so he's obviously mailing stuff out and getting stuff back.
Regarding the Sandra Bullock SASE, not sure if this was mentioned yet, but the zipcode the SASE was mailed from was in Massachussetts, which is where the movie was filming, and the zipcode mailed to (which I know was mentioned) was to a military zipcode, which allows people to send mail to people who may be constantly on the move (and also so they don't have to pay international rates when mailing to loved ones in foreign countries).
Anyway, just my 2 cents. Hope this is somewhat useful.

A quick search shows that Beverly, MA is a suburb of Boston, with the zipcodes located 14 miles apart. When it is mentioned that the film is filming in a city, it can be miles away... like when Peacock was recently filming several hours away from its production office. It's not too unreasonable to think that the item was signed and/or mailed from a different place than the production office. Another point: my home post office (in CA) is a 10 minute drive away and is in a different zipcode than my house. (And in case you're wondering about my IP being in NYC where people don't drive, I'm at school.)afem1010 wrote:What do we make of this:

Zip Code on Envelope: 01930
Zip Code of Venue: 01915
I have no recollection of Venues passing it on somewhere else and then to be mailed.
And how can it come from Boston if the venue is in Beverly, MA
I can understand Military is something, but hey, I don't see how these can really be successes. Now I don't know quite frankly. I still can't believe his successes as thats just plain impossible to have 4-5 celebs who NEVER sign, just send a signature.
I am lost
Hope this is somewhat useful!

Re: hockeyfan1994
Because of his previously suspicious success via venue, I find these questionable:

Well his Uma success matches the other TTM Uma success that was reported a couple days ago, along with the personalization... whether it's real or secretarial is a different question. I met Uma a couple months ago and her IP sig is a lot messier than the ones being reported recently.ldy josie x wrote:Because of his previously suspicious success via venue, I find these questionable:

Also found another site with a TTM Uma Thurman at the same address: http://autographs.keithjakubowski.net/umathurman.htm
I personally met Mary McCormack about a week or 2 ago, and that does appear to be her signature. Plus I don't think Mary McCormack is that big enough of a star to really refuse autograph requests is she?
Here is her IP signature:

Re: hockeyfan1994
Hi
I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but I just received this PM:
I am so offended
He did verbally "attack" me by sending me a few nasty PMs earlier, but I just ignored and deleted them. I guess that's what he is referring to ("But i can see that my first reply back you you had no affect on you.")
And I never directly accused him of forging his successes. In fact, all I wrote in my first PM to him was would he please post a scan of the envelope he received his successes in, and that it seems somewhat (not highly!) doubtable that he did indeed receive his "questionable" successes (I didn't put "questionable" in the message) via venue. Was that too harsh?
Ugh. Excuse me, but all I did was try to do my job as a moderator here.

I'm sorry, am I really a lame mod and as horrible as he describes me?hockeyfan1994 wrote:Well have i got news for you...Have you seen the latest post about another member receiving a Sandra Bullock success?

Well what are you waiting for...? Pounce on him like you did me. Make sure you huddle with your other lame mod's who doubted me and write a nasty pm to him as well. I think he is faking his successes too.
I would expect a written apology from anyone worth their weight in gold. If you were a bigger person you would clearly admit fault here and apologize to me. But i can see that my first reply back you you had no affect on you. And truthfully i doubt this one will either.
I wish for the day where you need something from me. You just never know what you need until i'm your last resource and it's going to feel SOOOOO good to say "hell no!"
You were wrong to accuse me for posting legit successes. It makes me doubt the integrity of the mods that we have on this board. I defend freedom for people like you...That's what i do for a living. What do you do? It's a real shame that there's people like in this world and i'm risking my life so you can turn around and accuse me of pulling some bogus **** on here! WOW! Makes me think that maybe i'm in the wrong field!

I would just ignore him. Dont let him get to you. He isnt worth it. Just delete his message and move on. You did what anyone one of us would have done. Its not hard to post an envelope. He needed to be told the rules on how the forum works. Just keep doing what you are doing.
