Reviewing positions?

Ok first off, I'm not looking for any negative comments in here, nor do I want to be a moderator. There are already some fine people on here doing that job. This is merely an innocent suggestion. {up}

Was just wondering, shouldn't the status of an inactive moderator be downgraded? Part of being a mod, I assume, is visiting this board at least once a week, or...even once a month?! Some fanmail.biz moderators haven't been active since 2007, and we're already into the latter half now of 2008. starreyes, dancingirl, onebuffcop - who are these people? They should just be downgraded to normal status and other more active/deserving members given a shot.

This is really a tiny issue, but this board could do with a clean up here and there.

Incedently, I posted a similar thing regarding dancingirl in the mod forum, she's not visited the forum for 11 months now..

Yes, I Totally Agree With You Guys.
How Should We Address The Problem - Admin, The Collector?
All The Best - Sam :mrgreen:

Hi,
Thanks for raising up this issue Shambler, I think that a rule should be set; e.g. TM, M and AE's that had stopped being active in the forum for over 3 months without any specific reasons should have their powers taken away. This is totally reasonable as those mods are no longer doing their jobs and there for an replacement should be made.
Jason.

Great Idea! :) It's pointless to be a Modetor when you've been unactive. And if they ever get on again, then maybe they can have their position back. Tell admin! :)

I do agree, when I first come on here I needed help on posting something, I PM's a mod, then I noticed they'd not been around for months and my PM is still unread :roll:

Hi everyone! ;)

I moved this topic here, especially when I read the post just above this one. :? I used to think "what's the big deal if some mods don't visit anymore" but now I get it: new members depend on our Moderators and if they're not here to help, it leaves a bad impression on our new members. :roll: That's why I think if a Mod is inactive for, say 3 months, they should automatically be demoted. {up}

Anyone else's thoughts? :)
