Action Plan Proposal

Hi all,

Here is an Action Plan I am proposing to re-build, preserve and improve the status of Fanmail.biz. It is split into two sections: Members and the Forum and Fanmail.biz Team.

1. Regarding Members and the Forum

a) Three Strike Rule

Stricter & Clearer rules for a safer and better quality forum.

Once members have been warned 3 times they are automatically banned. This will improve the overall quality of our forum and remove users which cause more harm then good to the forum; e.g. abusive users/ spammers.. It can also act as a reminder to members to behave themselve on the forum.

b) Age requirement

Assuring Fanmail.biz doesn't turn into a children's playground with age requirements.

Fanmail is going to turn into a children’s playground soon if we don't do something about age requirements. This should be something in the sign-up section where they must agree they are above a certain age (14 is the minimum I would say?). If us moderator believe the user is lying about their age we should ban them.

c) Stricter sign-up policy

Stopping spammers or banned members from re-entering the forum to cause harm.

Every member who signs up should have their account verified in person by GM's and Admin to prevent spammers and banned users from re-entering Fanmail and causing harm. We all know how easy it is to re-create an account from Fanmail now and that must stop.

d) Ban members that are on Fanmail for the purpose of destroying this forums image and/ or attempting to drive others onto other forums.

Prevention of members leaving Fanmail.biz

As I said before, I see nothing wrong with us being members of mutiple forums. However, if it is clear that a user is deliberatly trying to destroy fanmail's image and/ or attempting to drive members on to another autograph forum , then they should be banned.

2. Regarding the Fanmail.biz Team.

a) Demote 35% of the TM's and 25% of the Moderators + AE's

Removing inactive and abusive TM's, Mod's and AE's for a better and more efficient forum.

TM's and Mod's are given a colored name for a reason. They are suppose to be committed and helpful members. If they cannot be bothered to log on to the forum at least once a day (without specific reason; i.e. health, family issues...) than frankly they shouldn't be given that status. Furthermore some TM's and Mod's are setting terrible examples for others and they are doing more harm than good to the forum. It has also come to my attention that some of the AE's are rather inactive. One of them have not been logging in to this forum for over a year! Again AE's should be active in helping members as they have a red name for a reason.

b) Awards for TM's

To motivate and encourage TM's.

Once we have removed all the inactive and abusive TM's, we will be working with a bunch of good TM's genuinly trying to serve for the better of the forum. I believe these individuals should be motivated and encourage with "Best TM of the week award". This will get the best out of them.

c) Recruitment

Recruiting good TM's & Mods and allowing us Moderators/ AE's to vote for our staff.

Once we have got rid of the inactive and abusive TM's/ Mod's we must recruit some good quality member as replacements. There are some members out there who will make good TM's/ Mods. These members should be given a one month trial period and then voted in by us Moderators/ AE.

Please share your thoughts and comment on the proposal.

Jason what you have come up with here is great {thumb2}

I especially like the age requirement idea, i have found that some people are not mature enough for the TM job or even aas a member so this is a great idea.

Although some will argue that some 12-13 year olds are mature for their age and deserve to be members here. So we have to be careful with that.

That's a brilliant plan, Jason - now we all just have to stick to it. {thumb2} I have demoted lots of TM's just now, but if there's any unhelpful ones, left, let me know! :)

[agree] 100% with this plan.

Very well done {up}

I would help ban people, but I do not have that ability. If I ever do, I will surly help out even more

For those of you who don't have the power of banning, it doesn't matter, just post the bad user's name onto the "bad members/ tms" list ;)

Thanks,
