Is anybody else getting weird PM's from this member? http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/memberlis ... le&u=24736

This person may be harmless but I'm finding them a little strange. Some of the PM's I have received are:

hi text backkk!

So I said "Hey, I think you've got the wrong person ". Then they said:

hi I just want to get to know you!

And things along those lines. They just seem a little stalkerish. I just find it a little strange how eager they are for me to talk to them. Do you think I'm taking it the wrong way or is it right not to respond to this person again?

And looking at their posts, 2 of their 4 posts have been deleted, the other 2 are talking to actors as if they come on this site.

With whats going on on Fanmail with cyber stalkers, you have every right to be scared, but I think you should give this member some time. He/ she might think you are a nice moderator (which you are) so they would like to get to know you {thumb2}

We will keep a close eye on this member for you, if things start getting uncomfortable then block the member, and let us know.

Ok thanks, good advice
I was just a little worried because I didn't want to tell them anything about myself and then they start using it against me or something like that. Because I've read some scary stories about what people are capable of on here. I've never received messages like this before so I was just a little concerned. But if you think they sound genuine then I'll reply to them if they message me again.

People have pmed me as they wanted to get to know me too, but I guess I wasn't scared about the whole stalking thing as I'm not female. But I do share your concern, just tell the user some harmeless info about yourself, e.g. your favourite color or favourite band.. I wouldn't suggest you going into the details though, e.g. phone no., email..

Yeah I wouldn't tell anyone any private details like that But if they were to ask me what University I study at I wouldn't know how to get out of telling them without sounding suspicious!

Just tell them it's your personal details and that you don't feel comfortable telling them
