ADMIN & MODS: Please Read

Hello everyone!
I hope you're having a happy Easter weekend so far!
Last night, I came to realise something and it is not only because of Tony. I am one of the oldest (in terms of years since I joined Fanmail) members here – since November 2005. It’s been 3 years (and a quarter) and I’ve enjoyed it a lot, got great responses from people I admire and made wonderful friends (whom I do not intend on losing either!). But I came to a stage where I logged onto Fanmail (via my cellphone’s internet) almost every hour, and I “wasted†time by posting there, and trying to help out.
Writing fan mail is supposed to be something fun, exciting, surprising and most importantly, a side hobby – not something that rules your life. That part I can handle, but I realized, by visiting Fanmail so often, I’ve almost became “addicted†to the forum. I felt like it was part of my life to help members (which I’m still happy to do!), posting daily and adding members into the gift certificate draw. I was constantly busy on the internet, posting on Fanmail. After 3 years, it’s not fun anymore. I just got my very first laptop with an internet connection, and already I've downloaded 400 MB in just two weeks (don't ask how!). This is too much - it's like I'm 24/7 on Fanmail! I know no one forces me just because I'm a GM, but it became part of a routine - a nasty routine I need to break away from. I felt like I've wasted too much time on the internet when I could have talked to my brother, or have tea with my mom and dad!
So, in order to get back to how things used to be – just visiting when I feel like it and not posting daily (and obsessive) anymore, I will create a whole new account and just occasionally log in. Browsing Fanmail should be fun again and I don’t want to feel obliged to do anything – I’ve been a TM/Moderator since December 2007 – I feel like my work there is done. I did what I can.
So, normally I could just stop logging in with this account or ask admin to delete it (to protect my IP address from Tony) - but I have a team. They're the only reason why I will not do any of the above. I do not want to let them down, so I've decided to "hand over" my account (he insists that it should just be a temporarily thing!
) to: Jason. I've talked to him about this for the past few weeks, and he's up for it. I don't think I need to tell any of you how devoted, extremely knowledgeable and clever he is - I actually can't believe he isn't already a GM!
He's been an AE/Moderator for years now (since 2007?), and knows his way around the forum. Jason is really excited about this and he's determined to make a success of being a GM (even if it's just for a few months!).
Please welcome him (he'll be yellow!) but I'm sure you all know him already!
If anything happens and Jason also do not want to be a GM at this time, I would like to ask Chrissy and ozzman to take over my mods and TM's and add them to their teams!
I was a devoted member for my full 3 years, so with the new account, I’ll occasionally post and I’ll keep posting my feedback too, so you can all stay updated! But as I said, things should be fun again, not an addiction. I enjoy writing mail every now and then, but visiting Fanmail became an obsession which got out of hand. It should not become your life. I wasn't even the best GM here (ozzman, Chrissy & Larisie all did much better!) - I mean, you'll rarely find my name in the "Moderator Logs", and I only added members into the draw when I had the time. So I'm very sure you won't miss any of my help! But as I said, I'm not leaving - I'll still be here, but I will let everyone down if I stay as a GM and doesn't help out - I would feel guilty. I'll especially help out in the "Is My Autograph Authentic?" forum, as I love comparing autographs!
OK, so that's all.
Please, I hope you all understand my personal situation and little crisis. I need to go to the "Fanmail.biz rehab"!
As soon as I've created my new account, I'll let Jason inform you of it (but please, as soon as you all know it, delete the topic so Tony doesn't find out!).
Than you for everything admin and you all!
I'll still see you all around, but with a new username! {thumb2}
P.S. You can e-mail me anytime (since I won't be able to visit this part of the forum anymmore!) at lizswart@gmail.com
Regards!
