Hi :)

A new system called "Democracy" has been added to the message board.

*************************************************************

The two main features of "Democracy" are:

1. "Reputation points" (given by users to other users)

- Users can give points to the other users of the message board. The user who wants to change someone's reputation must refer to a post and post a short comment (review) on it so everyone can see his/her reasons (to prevent the misuse of reputation system).

- Users can refer to the same post only once.

- Moderators can delete a review (and a reputation change) if they find it untrue.

2. "Warnings" (given by moderators to users)

- Moderators may give warnings to users that violate the forum rules. A reason of the warning must be included.

- The warning have to refer to a post.

- The warning has an expire date set either by the Moderator.

- Once a user gets certain amount of warnings (3) he/she's banned from the forum.

- Users can notify Moderators about post which they think violate forum rules.

*************************************************************

Starting December 1st 2005, every month, the Moderator / Autograph Expert who receives the most points from the other members of the message board will receive a $10 allposters.com gift certificate.

Just out of curiosity:

Can you vote for yourself? Not that I would or anything, but I was just wondering. :lol:

This is completely awesome.

Great idea admin {up}

-edit-

Wait, sorry if I am completely missing something, but how do the other users know about Democracy? Did admin post about it somewhere else other than the Moderator's forum?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question :roll:

Hi RentRocks314 {up}

Other users will just notice the {up} {down} buttons under a members profile, and pretty soon get the idea :wink: If you hover over them it tells you what they are.
