Problem with Unknown Member of This Site

Unread post by lutherjw »

In my sig I have a link to my website. It is not autograph related at all. In the guestbook in my site someone wrote the following:

"Yo, wheres ares u's [insert "f-word"] autographs [insert "b-word"]"

It has to be a member of this site because this is the only site that I have posted my url on. My question is: Is it possible to do a reverse IP address lookup of the members of this site? The persons IP address is 24.243.109.133

Thanks,

**UPDATE**

The same IP address has just posted the following:

"Hey I love your site. It's so cool!"

The first time this person posted they said their name was Tim. This time they said their name was Justine.

maybe someone got on to the others computer and was looking around. Or it could be someone just plain being mean. Im not sure how you would track that number onto another site though :?

Hi lutherjw {up}

I know what it's like. Over the past 3 weeks or so I have had someone posting stupid/rude comments in the guestbook of the website I set up to remember my brother who was killed in 1999.

He was only 11 and a lot of the comments being posted in his guestbook has links to adult websites, which is pretty sick.

All I am doing is deleting them on a daily basis, and hoping they will get fed up doing it soon. It is a shame that some people have no life :wink:

Anyway, I would suggest you remove the link in your signature to your website temporarily, and hope the mystery poster did not make a note of the URL.

These links are probably automatically posted by crawlers. You should upgrade your guestbook.
