Admin,
I thought you should know that greendaygirl is unneccessarily bumping her posts REPEATEDLY and it's so easy to see she's tryingi to boost her post count. I locked the Jim Carrey topic that she's already bumped a few times and she just did it again. Obviously I can't delete the post, so I figured locking it would be best for now.

Hi guys
I know greendaygirl can be a pain
It is obvious that she is simply trying to boost her overall posting total, but she is not currently violating the terms of membership.
In fact, although it pains me to mention, she is quite often the first person to respond to a members success
I agree, that her responses are mostly not overly constructive, but she does get there quickly
The main complaint from members is that their posts are not answered quickly enough which is the main reason wh need to actively recruit moderators.
As I have said before, in order for greendaygirl ever to become a mod she would need to get at least 50% support from the existing moderators.
If you feel she is bumping unneccesarily then as moderators you are free to PM her and ask her to stop. If she then becomes obstructive we can address that as a further issue.

Oh, look, she does it even when a post has been answered already. And this isn't the first time either.

But elmomommyto1, a lot of members do that, not just moderators.
I'm not saying you're wrong; I really do think she bumps a lot of posts unnecessarily. But if we were to penalize her for doing that (which I don't really think we can/should), it would be unfair to her because a lot of members do that.

It's a fine line on what you do here.
I know that a lot of members, not just greendaygirl bumps posts. Some genuinely wants to congratulates someone for receving a certain success, and I don't blame them (I do it occasionally.)
However, there is a difference between congratulating someone for their success, and repeatedly doing it.
No matter how annoying it gets, it's unfair to give her any type of warning or negative feedback (that's too harsh, but we'd all like to do it.) PM's would probably be the best bet.
In my opinion, I think she is trying to increase her post count for the sake of becoming a moderator, but she is obviously doing it the wrong way. I really question her reasons for wanting to be one in the first place.

As nowandagain said, some people do that to boost their post count while other's do it for genuine congratulations. It is easy to single out some from the rest. Those who genuinely congratulate others don't do it every other success or so, they respond and offer their compliments to ones that they individually feel are wonderful successes.
