Very strange post addresses to mods

awolgnr wrote:I have two questions about things that happen on these boards that seem strange to me.

1) Why is a preprint or an autopen considered a "Success" by so many people? I give them to my kids or throw them away. That's not a success at all.

2) What is the point of posting a fan pack "Success" from a professional sports team? They get sent to anyone who asks for one, and in the vast majority of the time do not contain any autographs whatsoever. How do fan packs relate to the hobby of autograph collecting?

Other than these two points, these boards are the best resource I have found on the web for autograph collecting info. Great job everyone! I'd post more often but I don't have a scanner and always send a sase so there is not any new info I can add about my successes that everyone doesn't already know.

Thanks, awolgnr
This is posted in Forum Ideas (which it OBVIOUSLY doesn't belong either)! Obviously I couldn't lock it or I would have since this is along the same lines of what that ianwxzr had posted. So I guess I'll leave it up to Ian to take care of since he's the only moderator in there. Yet again, those kind of comments could be offensive to someone who likes autopens or PP :?...so I wonder if a PM warning would be appropriate? But there again, it's Ian's forum, so I'll leave it up to you Ian :).

I personally don't find them "offensive" at all.

Me neither, I think it is a perfectly acceptable question and I'm sure they don't mean it in an offensive tone.

I don't find it offensive, but I don't see any difference between that post and the one the ianwxzr made though. :?

I think the difference between that post and the post that ianwzxr made is that ianwzxr's post was rude and directly posted to question us and what power we have and how we run this forum. I think the recent post made was just a pondering question and not meant to hurt us at all. this member has voiced his or her opinion and thats great, and has done it in the most decent and polite way!!
