1. Why should I compromise what I think when I state my point (which was obviously correct in the first place!) in a very nice way and I'm called names? (reminds me of grade school!) Answer: I'm not.
2. Why should I stick around if my judgment as a moderator obviously isn't trusted? Answer: Because I enjoy these forums and the people (besides the obvious ones). I'm not going to let some morons ruin it for me. That said, I won't be returning again in the capacity of a moderator if an identical situation were to happen again. I handled the situation as any other name-calling situation has been taken care of. The member may or may not have violated a specific forum rule, but calling people names is obviously just inflamatory and against the rules of common sense.
I hope I have offended anyone...and if I have, I'm sorry. Not that there is a wonderful time for a stressful situation to happen, but it's especially important that now is a fairly calm time for me. I hope to continue with the good times and leave the bad times behind
