Here is the PM I sent Darrell_Crisp about his language and the reply that I finally received today. Very rude and immature. Could you please issue a formal warning as well as a verbal warning, admin? Thanks.

Dear Darrell_Crisp,

Please be aware that your recent post in the Feedback forum has been edited to exclude the word "crap". The other moderators and I feel this is not an appropriate word to be using in posts. Thank you for your future discretion in using language that is appropriate for all members of this forum .

Sincerely,
Elmomommyto1

Are you kidding me? Then it's probably not appropriate for you to use the word in an email either. I didn't mean to offend you with such a filthy word. I certainly will be sure to refrain from that terrible, terrible word in the future. Do have a blessed day!

Ah good old sarcasm. Can't ever get enough of it. Sorry you had to experience that.

Hi Lisa :)

Thanks for reporting the problem {up}

I've just added C R A P to the censored word list.
It will now be automatically censored on the forums.

There's an automatic censorship thing? When did this come about?

Good to know that there is some kind of censor thingie in place now :). So does that mean that this member won't be repremanded for what he's said to me? :?

There has always been a automatic censor list. It is a feature of the phpBB forum.

Maybe a warning was not issued because technically he did not break any rules. I know sarcasm can be annoying, but since it doesn't actually break any rules, perhaps admin didn't feel it was necessary to issue a warning.

Just a thought. Obviously I can't speak for admin :wink:

As a Moderator, you can give him a warning if you wish so but i think it is a little too late now :?

You should have given him a warning for 7 days with a "Please be polite on the forum" or "Please be respectful" (short message) :|

In case of new problem, feel free to PM me.
