Slow Posting Speed

Hey admin,

I don't know if it is just me but lately when I have posted a new topic/reply it takes an unusually long amount of time. I think members are pressing the "Submit" button twice because of this causing several topics/posts to show up twice.

UPDATE: It seems to be fixed now. It occured mainly last night.

Hey Joel {up}

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. The forum was painfully slow!!!

Since then it has moved to new servers, and I have found that the forum is now much quicker.

Maybe there was some behind the scenes updating going on when you experienced your "slowness"

Please post again if you have any more problems :wink:

Hey guys!!

I agree with Ian. A few weeks ago the forum was terribly slow and i would have to wait a long while to post up something. But it's been REALLY fast lately for me to post things. Takes a few seconds.

The only thing now that i have to say about posting is that the Notify me when a reply is posted box is checked and i didn't notice, and because i update the system i get like 50 emails telling me that someone replyed. :lol: I think i am not learning to check off that box!!

I had that same problem too Chrissy :wink:

I generally prefer not to get automatic notifications for most of my postings, but the other week I didn't notice the box was checked and I received almost 20 notifications.

To fix up this problem click "Profile" at the top of the screen (where you can change your avatar, signature etc). Scroll down to Preferences and click "Always notify me of replies:" as "No".

My original settings had that preference at No, but for some unknown reason it changed to Yes.

It's all fine for me now {up}
