Potential problem

I have noticed dredguy has been putting the statement below on all his posts. I think this is gonna cause some problems amongst the members.

dredguy wrote:Previous note:

This goes out to some users of this website that everyday use their time to bash other user’s successes with TTM autographs (You know who you are!).

I do not care if these TTM successes are secretarial/PP/whatsoever. You know why? Because the only real autograph is the one you get IN PERSON!!! Who, in their perfect mind, would think that all the world celebrities as actors or musicians have time to sign hundreds, thousands of requests per day?

The interest of this hobby is to find what autographs are probably real and others which are definitely not. So, how can one state that, as I have been reading here that “It is definitively secretarial” or “Some studies have been made on Mr.XX Sig…”….Cut the C**P!!!

Even those who entitle themselves as “autograph experts” or “autograph dealers” cannot prove any autograph authenticity.

This is a hobby, man! Not a competition!

What do you guys think should be done?

I have pm'd him to please take the comments off. Stating I think it may cause a fight that doesnt need to be started. Even we can all agree to what he is saying. Too many fights lately. LOL

Hi ozzman {up}

I had done the same thing :D I didn't mention it when I acknowledged his successes, because I thought it would just draw attention to it :wink:

I agree that a lot of members also feel the same way though :|

Well hopefully we can keep the peace on this crazy board. LOL I have a question though. Is it possible for mail to come from london to los angeles in one day? There is a freddie highmore success from a member named purpleeyes that says just that. I am very skeptical. What do you guys think??? :?

My response from Jeremy Irons was postmarked just one day before I received it. I do live on the east coast, though.

Well spotted ozzman :). I noticed the same thing as you...and I'm surprised that it hasn't gotten any comments as of yet and hopefully it continues that way. Because of the harshness of the certain members who are very rude and blatant about the authenticity of certain autographs, the lines have unfortunately been draw between particular members. It's very sad and I wish it could have been stopped before it started. My only hope is that the rude and childish behavior of the offending members will stop. The only other conclusion I can think of is these members being banned eventually for their behavior. I hope it doesn't come to that though and I wish "we could all just get along" :).

Hi guys {up}

It is almost as rare as hen's teeth, but it is possible to get a letter from the UK to the USA the next day.

Most of the UK to USA goes by standard airmail which takes about 3 days as you say, but we also have something else called AIRSURE. This mail can arrive quicker - I have sent a letter to the US on a Tuesday which has arrived on the Wednesday.

Like I said, it is rare, but if you live close to a sorting office in the UK and you post in the morning, it can arrive next day in the USA :wink:

hehe.. i was a little offended by that myself. :) Yeah, i think u should talk to him. Maybe someone should tell him that this is what we do, and he doesnt have to come to the fourm if he doesnt agree with it. Of course, try to sound nice about it. hehe :)
