Pictures from yesterday's appointment!

Hi everyone!

Well, here is the update from yesterday's appointment:

At yesterday's appointment, we found out that the baby is doing just wonderful in there. She's decided to do a flip on us and go breech at yesterday's ultrasound though. Thankfully she still has a lot of time to turn (my doctor said they'll usually stay put around 37 weeks where they're at). But he said he wouldn't worry at all about it until at least 34-35 weeks, at which time we'd talk about what kinds of home things I could do to get her to turn before performing a "version" or manual turning around in the hospital at 37 weeks. The awesome thing was that I think she's already flipped because she was doing some big moves last night and her hiccups have returned after a day of none...and they are down low again :). She's also moved from my right side over to my left as well. So hopefully when I go back in 2 weeks, she'll be the right way around :). We also found out that she still has lots of hair...is about 4 lbs., 7 oz. and is measuring exactly 32 weeks as of yesterday (31 weeks, 4 days). Her head circumference was 31 weeks, 3 days, her femur length was 32 weeks and her belly was 31 weeks, 5 days. My blood pressure was SO much better yesterday too, 124 over 80. It's amazing what can happen when you have faith that your doctor is willing to work with you rather than against you :). They re-drew my thyroid levels on the 29th of Aug., which were up from 1.6 to 2.0, which even he wasn't too concerned about, but he wrote me out another prescription to get it re-checked to make sure it's not getting drastically higher. And without further delay, here are the latest pictures of our little Sydney!!!

P.S. Sorry they're such lower quality. I've gotten to stop seeing the perinatologists for ultrasounds, so these pictures are from the regular office machine, which is no where NEAR as good as her other ones :).

Mega!

Ultrasounds always blow me away :D

Fantastic news about your BP and dates and everything. I am so excited for you! And you have chosen "Sydney" :D

Great name :D - you really are on the home-straight now. Before you know it your little girl will be here, and nothing else about what you have been through will matter a bit.

I hope I can be the first to welcome you as elmomommyto2!!!!

Awww....thanks Ian :). They blow me away too :D. Every time I see her is like the first time we found out that she existed!

She's now had the hiccups 3 times today, all of which were down low again. That's seems to be standard for her (1-2 episodes of hiccups per day...all very low)...and that happened last on Monday evening, so I imagine she flipped while I was asleep considering I never felt her flip. So hopefully she's back to being in the right position so I don't need to think about standing on my head anymore !

I'm just so glad that she's made it this far and I can't believe it's almost over! It'll seem strange to go from elmomommyto1 to elmomommyto2 !

Hi Lisa :D

Sounds like you're slowly coming into the home straight  The ultrasounds look great!

It's really nice to hear everything's going well {up} The more good signs, the better :P

You've chosen a beautiful name "Sydney" ... have you ever visited Sydney here in Australia [au] yet? It's a very beautiful city (and so is Melbourne )

Take care!

Actually I've never been to Austrailia...but after using the name Sydney, I just might have an excuse to ;).

Thanks Joey & Dallas :).

Sydney's getting more and more forceful with her movements, which isn't so cool, but I think she may have flipped back around after her episode with the hiccups...again! Right now I have almost NO idea which way she is and it's driving me nuts! Sheesh, girls can be a real pain in the rear sometimes !
