Just received this PM from Goldy....

Admins a waste of time.. He wont remove my feedback.. He wont give me a reason either.. I messaged him twice, and he wont reply.. Pretty lame that people can leave bad rep points, and then nothing happens.. But its ok to say BULLSHIT in threads.. Its also ok to have the word ASS in your name.. But using non profanity comments, not rude either, and trying to HELP a user, i get neg rep points, is BS.. Last few days are numbered here, i am gonna go out with a bang.. Look for something cool, that will take awhile to fix...

Oh, now that's really mature. Sheesh! I wish goldy knew that I am the moderator that edited robert_holik's post and goldy's as well (because it quoted robert_holik's) and I've also brought up kickassifneeded's username issue as well! I'm so SICK and TIRED of members like this ruining it for everyone, that I say GOOD RIDDANCE! He's more than likely just full of hot air anyway, but thanks Hayley for the heads up .

For that, and that alone deserves a banning. A threat against the board isn't funny at all. Goldy is acting like a little child seeking attention!! Thank you for the warning about this!!! And thank you for keeping us informed about this issue with goldy.

I agree. I would just ban him now so that he can do nothing to harm the boards.

I agree. It would be a good idea to ban him now. Because if we allow him to make his move, many members will see it before a mod can get to it.

We should also consider the possibility that goldy might be able to hack the site. The site should be backed up often (as I think it already is) to be sure that nothing valuable is lost.

I know the latter may sound extreme, but I know people that are hackers, and they can do a great many things. One froze an online multiplayer game I was in. I don;t know how he did it, but he did.

Man, I dont post in a few days and I miss alot. I would ban him for the threat. Is there a way he can come back under a new name? He doesnt share an IP address does he?

I agree. I think we should ban him before he can do some serious harm.

goldy is the only member posting from his IP address. It is possible, however, to change your IP address, which is another reason why banning IP addresses may not always work.

As a matter of fact, if you use a dial-up connection, a new IP is assigned every time you connect to the internet. This isn't a problem with goldy, however, he may still be able to change it.

I was hoping with over 200 posts made by him and he still doesn't have a dynamic IP address that I'd make a bet that we'd be okay with just banning his IP. I don't see that we have any other choice. I would doubt that he would be a hacker (they tend to be a little more disguising in their tracks than maintaining the same IP ), but you never know. Hopefully Ian or admin will be replying soon to give us their take on the topic.
