Hi everyone!

This is regarding the fanmail logo thread. I think it could be a cool idea and I am looking forward to the new layout, admin. I saw the line "we may add it to the new website" and we should emphasize this so no one will be disappointed if it won't be used.

Anyways, I have a bunch of questions.

What size should the logo preferably be?
Any colour restrictions? (if you have already chosen colours for the new design)
Can it be an animation?
What should the logo say? (is it enough if it says Fanmail? Or everything which is on the current one?

How should it be arranged? I think it would be easiest to have a deadline for entries and there after have a voting (it should not be told who have made which logo)

But where should people send their entry? I don't want them to PM me because I would probably want to enter myself so I shouldn't be the one announcing a winner ;)

Regarding where they send it to.. I don't want to do it. I could be the judger and they email them to me.

Yes, that could be an option. I also think there should be more than one judge. Perhaps the entries should also be posted in this moderator section so the moderating team and admin all know who's participated with what...? Or maybe that's not such a good idea?
Oh yeah, and one entry pr. person right?

File Type: .gif / .jpg / .swf
Animated / Non Animated.
No color Restriction.

Contest duration: 2 months (?)

We could add a link in the "General Discussion" forum and in the "Feedback" forum pointing to a thread in the "Win a $10 Allposters.com Gift Certificate!" forum.

People would vote fo the winner.

Maybe people could post their banner (one or more) in a thread and then you could add their banner(s) to the poll. People could also comment and vote in the same thread.

That sounds like a winner. But I think that we should start it soon, and end it on Thanksgiving. That would be over a month, and that should be sufficient time to make a logo.

The reason I suggested the entries should be emailed to someone (the two mods doing it could create an email account somewhere for this purpose) is that people might vote for their friends or ignore certain entries if they don't like that user.

When ppl email it they include their username so the two mods know who the winner is on here.

It doesn't have to be this way - just a suggestion.

Why people could not just post their banners? We would receive much more entries and it would be less work for you
