Not such a great new year for me

Well, I wanted to stop by and see what all I had missed. I feel like I've been out of the loop for way too long now. A short time after New Year's I began having some difficulty breathing with any movement and after a week of putting off the hospital, I went only to be diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolisms. I was VERY lucky that they were caught in time, because the alternative is usually dying from them. I spent 7 days in the hospital, which just about killed me right there and now I have 6 months of blood thinners and blood tests to make sure I don't get any more clots. Yeah, fun. Wow, this suddenly got way more depressing than I meant it to be (trust me, it's not much better in real life). Sorry to bring everyone down, but there's definitely been a reason I haven't been around and checking in. Hopefully it's all better news from here

Hi Lisa
I'm so sorry to hear about this! Bilateral pulmonary embolisms are very serious indeed

. All you can do now is look on the bright side and make a speedy recovery.
Anyway, life goes on and so should you. You have a wonderful life to look forward to, even though it may not seem that way right now.
All the best - take care!

Thank you guys

. I really appreciate the uplifting thoughts. Sometimes when bad things just keep happening, it's so easy to get down about it. But thankfully they caught it and I'm recovering suprising well. I've been off of oxygen here at home for awhile now and I'm getting back to whatever normal will be for me. Unfortunately I have so many more blood tests to look forward to with the blood thinners and my thyroid, which really gets to me after awhile. It's amazing that before this I was actually a fairly healthy person. For someone that hates hospitals and quite frankly has gotten rotten treatment from quite a few doctors, this is a pretty difficult and depressing situation for me. It's very stressing to me to be able to completely trust doctors' decisions on dosages, when it literally could mean life or a possible bad outcome for me. But coming here helps me by seeing the upside of things and knowing that you guys are here for me really does help

.
P.S. I can't wait to write in July that the blood thinners are finished and it's back to life as normal!!!
