Hi guys, For a short period of time, I "disappeared" from fanmail.biz (somewhere between the time of Feb-Mar). I remember TheMailman used to be a little rude to users but really helpful at times too, it seems like he doesn't have an account here anymore, what happened to him?

He was banned sometime ago for a few reasons!! Things got a bit out of hand with him and the decision was made to ban him from the forum.

Whoa, I noticed that too. He hasnt been online since July.. I think its bad cause he was really helpful on the boards, in my opinion one of the best Mods on the forum. :neutral:
I wouldnt say he was rude, but he made a few posts which got out of hand. Too much drama, so to speak!

Anyways, I dont want to get more into it. Im sure he was kicked out for a good reason! I surely hope so!

Yeah, I wonder why too. I didn't even notice! lol Yeah, he was really helpful but I got really mad at one time when he deleted this Cast Address, which I spend a half hour doing and he said it wasn't useful and stuff.

He was totally rude to other mods as well as other members. We had problems with him from the get go, and when it seemed as though she had grown up and gotten better about controlling her rudeness, she just started exploding again, and a ban was all that was left.

I always thought TheMailman was a "he". I recall he had many arguments with RSVP and Andy316, was it an IP ban?

If it was an IP ban I would be very surprised...I wouldn't say hes that rude comparing to some of the members we have right now....

TheMailman is still a member of the board, although he is no longer a Moderator.

Users are usually banned for a set period of time (often 30, 60 or 90 days). Occasionally members can be banned by IP address, but in practice it is very difficult to stop members signing up again with a new name.

Most times it is better to ban for a set period, then at least if the member rejoins the board - we know who it is
