Im not been funny (well I am) Admins a good bloke but he doesnt see everything that we do, the girls probably a lovely lass but not mod worthy. Every topic would end up being locked or there will be "he's called me this...that.."

Someone called her a pube and all hell broke loose

My main worry is her sister using her ID to post in the TM forum, when I told her maybe best to sign out I got a no.

Then you give her advice I get a pm "Stop bullying me!!!"

All you have to do is move a topic into the TM forum to delete it, anyone could cause alot of **** for this site if they put there mind to it :neutral:

At the moment, that's pretty much the only way I am able to delete posts (not assigned to any forums [still...]).

Every team leader has the right to demote the tms they feel useless from there group. All they have to do is tell admin.

I think there should be a more stringent process involved when it comes to selecting who should, or should not be, a Trainee Moderator.

And yes, a lot of them are not fit for the job. I'm getting a bit annoyed with x hayley x currently - she's in nearly every Feedback topic, going 'aw that's shame, sorry about that' or 'cool/nice/great success!'. Maybe it's just me, but if you don't have more than just a generic one-liner to contribute to a topic, rather don't post in it!

Agree with most of what you said; but I do think haley is a good contributor and a helpful TM. If her "great success" "aw that's a shame" annoys you - you can pm her about this ;)


TMs are not about quantity, but quality. Unfortunately, not everyone understands this The fact that anyone can become a TM has lead to two things:

1) Knowledgable members who will make great TM's (such as osris) no wanting to be one as they do not want to be in the same team as other not-so-qualified TM's

2) The reputation of being a TM will be ruined - TM's will not be respected by other members

Sadly Jason, I think it's already come to this stage for some of the regular (as in frequent, not 'non-TM') members. If I were in charge, there would be a massive cleaning out of the TM's (nuke 'em)- let those that feel they still deserve the 'position' to defend themselves (although, there are a few that really need no defense at all- as you can easily tell the good from the not so good [for the most part]; as well as there are those that can defend themselves all they want [footballcards] and it shouldn't make a difference). I've had to defend myself plenty, and have been able to keep my position. Trainees also need to be kept informed as to what has been happening on the boards (although, if they are truly doing their jobs- they should already know most of the stuff); I made a post in Zanne's team, but there are TM's that have absolutely no connection to what is happening... and that is bad for everyone when they're floating in their own little realm (although I don't believe in full disclosure, and don't even like them seeing all of the moderation logs).(...to be continued)

As Matt has stated there are so many TM's out of the loop. In Zanne's thread, he mentioned how one TM said that 1Dirxtion should become a TM! I agree there should just be a TM 'wipe out' and get rid of the ones who aren't worthy of being one. Lets get the TM reputation back up so they actually help out those who need it without embarrassing it (such as allheeheeha or whatever mocking new members). I think we should have them explain why they should continue to be a TM without hearing 'I know a lot about autographs, I can help out all the new members, etc'
