Demote "canterquen2" and "dramagrl3"?

Hi all
I was just looking over our moderator roster and noticed that canterqueen2 and dramagrl3 haven't posted since April.
http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/profile.p ... ile&u=3188 (dramagrl3)
http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/profile.p ... ile&u=3327 (canterqueen2)
I was thinking that maybe we should demote them, and then do the process of re-evaluation if they were to appear again?
Any thoughts?
Daniel

Not a bad idea Daniel
I think it would be a good idea if we set some sort of guidelines regarding absent moderators - e.g. if a moderator doesn't post within a certain period without a valid reason (such as 6 months) that they can be demoted.
So far, both canterqueen2 and dramagrl3 haven't posted in around 5 months ... so maybe we could give them another month before officially demoting them? Otherwise we can demote them now and review their position when they return.

I absolutely agree. There are a few moderators that haven't posted in a while. It's a good idea because there could be other potential moderators on the forum that would be good to replace them on the thread(s). If they come back; like both of you have said, we can see how well they start to do.
Thanks for bringing it up Daniel

Hi guys
When we "rejigged" the ranks recently we did remove about 5 moderators who hadn't posted for a while. The criteria we used there was basically anyone who hasn't posted in 6 months
I think this is probably a decent / fair time length - what do you think?

Thanks Ian

6 months sounds like a decent time frame (that is, unless they have a valid reason)

I agree six months is just about right.

As do I. 6 months is a good time to allow for problems to be resolved.
Of course, if they have a good reason, then by all means we shall overlook the situation.
