On 6-27-16, I received the photos back unsigned, along with a pre-signed photo, which is consistent with most of her successes.

Well I'd hardly say it was a waste of stamps if he still got a signed pic. Surely the only waste (if at all) was buying his own photos. If he's a big AL fan then it's not a waste at all.

Pre-signed is still authentic, preprint would be a waste.

Because on the most recent success before mine, she did sign the photo that was sent to her, so I thought I'd give it a try. Even if I did just send a SASE asking for a signed photo, I might have saved a stamp or two, which is still less than a dollar. And getting something back was more than worth the money I spent anyway!

I had luck with her about a month ago. Photos on my site. Most recently, she signed a Mame Playbook that Bea Arthur had previously signed. I still need to add that one online. I do agree with the others, while it might not have been what you would have preferred, a pre-signed photo is better than a pp! :-) Congrats on your success!
