Trainee Edit Rights

Unread post by TheCollector »

Hi guys {up}

Just to let you know, the rights of Trainees have changed slightly.

They are no longer able to edit or delete posts (including their own). Admin and I thought this would be a good idea, so that they are able to work towards getting more responsibility when/if they become full moderators :D

It also prevents the chances of posts being made (which may cause arguments) which are subsequently deleted making it very difficult to trace the problem-maker.

Moderators and upwards still retain their rights.

Cheers,

I think that sounds really good. Are they able to move posts? Such as junk treads? Cos that might be a good idea..?

Hi Fatima {up}

Yes, they can still move posts :D

But even if they move posts to the Trainee's forum they will still not be able to edit them ;-) I know some mods were concious of the fact that before - they could move posts to the Trainees forum, edit/ delete them and move them back to their original location :?

Now they cannot edit/delete any posts "wherever" they are. It seemed like there was not much difference between Trainees and Full Mods if they had pretty much the same powers :D This will give them a reason to work towards getting promoted ;-)
