Thank you so much. He's one of my very favourite actors and I was beyond happy to receive a reply from him, let alone such a great one!

I love to help others, but I don't want the same that happened to Les Miserables to happen again, so I tried to put some limits. As longtime collectors, you know how it's like when a set gets spammed with fanmail.

Does everyone know that HE SIGNS VIA HIS AGENCY in London?

Star Trek 2 has already been spammed and from what I heard they are not forwarding any more letters. Benedict was receiving 100+ a week and his assistant was picking through and letting him reply to only a select few.

(I work in the industry, in case you're wondering how I know this).

I would try his agency at this point because if you notice, this thread has over 3500 views, and obviously hundreds of people sending letters. He will get to his agency mail as soon as he's back in London.

Yes, we know that and we also know that his agency is swamped with fan mail up to its ceiling and that he's got nothing else to do in life than replying to all that fan mail which will take him forever even if he doesn't do anything else at all apart from this. He'll be back in London at the end of the year in best case so do the math and count how many letters will be waiting for him there. The only thing they'll do with them is putting in a big box and "hey, dude, take your correspondence home and free our offices". In best case, just like you said, his assistant might filter them and let reply to a selected few-but then again-they've got better things to do than that. I don't want to sound mean or rude or sarcastic but agree-that's logical and Ben has nothing to do with that at all. Agent/assistant said-he did and went to the set to work. That's all. Forgive me please for posting this at all, but it's your working in the industry got me going-I thought you'd know better. Again-sorry, sorry everyone for all the above. I don't mean it bad. I personally didn't send any letters and I probably won't find the guts or sense to do it at all...As much as I'd like to I honestly don't see the point in it.. Please, don't be mad at me for saying this all and I don't discourage you all to send fan mail:)

Honestly, I've never seen a reply obtained via his agency. At least not on this Forum.

First of all, wonderful success, my congratulations I have been fan of Benedict for many years, however, I was never lucky enough to get any reply, even before he was so popular because of Sherlock. It is good to know it's still possible

Second of all, don't worry, I won't ask you to PM the address. I think I have it somewhere, but I never really intended to use it. I knew this set would get a lot of attention and become a closed set sooner or later. Imagine if only the people here who asked for the address would send him, it would be enough letters to get him bombarded, and I don't even think of many and many other people. While I'd love to get autograps of many of the cast members of this film, I'll let this pass by, as the set has already been spammed and it would be a waste of stamps.
