I was lucky enough to get him IP at Comic Con and this looks like a much less "rushed" version of what I got. I'd say it's good, but you never can know for sure I guess. Congrats!

I was fortunate this year to have my dad tag along, so he was able to help me out alot on the limited signings. In terms of having to give everything else up, it depends on who is running the signing you want to attend. Warner Bros., Dark Horse, Fox and a bunch of others distribute ALL passes to their signings in the morning so yes you have to line up very early to even have a chance at getting a pass. Most big signings do a raffle or lottery system. So you can wait a very long time in the morning only to realize that you didn't pull a winning ticket. It's a tad annoying, but they claim this is the most fair way to run things. Also, once you get to the front of the line you can only pick 1 signing per studio/booth to try for. If there are multiple signings at one booth that you want to attend, you have to go back to the end of the line to pull for a 2nd one (this is where having a 2nd person really helped me). This year, I just got really lucky and my dad and I pulled winning tickets for mostly everything we wanted. Once you are done getting all the tickets you want in the morning, you are really free to do whatever throughout the rest of the day until the time of the signings you won. But, most signings follow immediately after the panel. For example, say the panel for Breaking Bad ends at 1:00PM but you have to be at the Sony booth 30 minutes early for the Breaking Bad signing which starts at 1:10PM. Obviously you have to choose which is more important to you, the panel or the signing. If you get tickets for next year, realize going in that you will get to do alot of cool stuff and meet alot of cool people, but you will also be disappointed several times throughout the week. It's important to prioritize what you want to do before going in because often times 2 or 3 things that you want to do will be at the exact same time. For example, this year I won passes to the final signing for Fringe, but that signing was at the same time as another one of my most wanted, the Breaking Bad signing. I chose Fringe, but was really disappointed I didn't get to do the Breaking Bad signing. Hope this helps! If you get tickets for next year, have fun!

Are you kidding me? Going to Comic Con is just a dream for me because I´m living in Europe so it´s not possible for me to go. But after reading your message it doesn't sound really that great after all.I was at a Vampire Diaries convention in Germany. There I had to stand in line for 4 hours to get a picture with Ian Somerhalder. I thought that was long and I was already bumped that I missed an panel. I heard the line for an autograph was just 1 hour.

Don't get me wrong, I had a blast at comic con. This was my first year and I fully intend on going back every year that I'm able to. I'm just saying that you have to prioritize seeing as how you can't do it all. Also in terms of the lines, remember that 130,000 people flood the convention center every day of the Con and I'd bet alot of them are there for the same things you're there for. You just have to plan accordingly.

I sure hope I'll find a similar surprise in my mailbox over the coming days!! I sent a letter to the studios in NZ in .. December 2011 I think? So yeah, 7-8 months ago. I sent one to Ian McKellan at the same time also, and I was lucky enough to get a response from him in about May, but your fantastic success certainly gives me a fresh hope for Martin!

(As well as a picture from "the Hobbit", I also sent him a photo from when he starred in "the Office" with Ricky Gervais; I loved him in that show - I was delighted when I heard he'd be Bilbo in the new movie!)
