Willem Dafoe seems to sign VV only

Christian Bale seems to be signing just VV lately, but I received a response from him a few years back by writing to his managment company.

I can add to the list Cate Blanchett, because I've never heard of any success through her agent, or anything like that - only VV

VV=Via-venue-when you write through a place that is only temporarily.
TTM=Through The Management (I think) when you write through an agency.
