I sent a letter to the Wicked Via Venue address (you can see it at other successes) around the same week as Obama took the oath of office. I sent the most dedicated, longest, and easiest letter I have ever probably written. On the front, I drew Elphaba, then on the back, I drew the Oz symbol and colored it in with the Oz colors (blue, Red, green, and yellow) and a flying monkey.
This week, on Feb. 6, my mail lady pulled up my driveway to give my mom her package. While she flipped out our mail from her bin, I noticed one was a manila envelope with "Wicked" on it. I thought, "It might be someone else's, don't get excited" But she pulled it out and handed it to me! I was so excited, the mail lady got happy.
Needless to say, I rushed into the house and tore open the envelope.
Inside, I found a warm letter that mentioned some of the things I wrote about (like how much I like Defying Gravity, and they said my appreciation keeps them "defying gravity" and they said they were excited I was reading Wicked.)
The letter said they were going to pass my note around the whole cast, but I don;t know if that is something they always say- But then, I don't know if they send letters with every thing they send out.
But the best part is still to come. Inside, I found a SIGNED WICKED PLAYBILL!
My heart nearly skipped a beat!
I soon found most of the signatures:
Marcie Dodd- Elphaba
Alli Mauzey- Glinda
PJ Benjamin- The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Alex Brightman- Boq
Timothy Britten Parker- Dr. Dilliamond
Jayne Houdyshell- Madame Morrible
Brynn O'Malley- Nessarose
I am so excited about this, as I am an Oz fanatic! I was afraid I wouldn't get this, since I found out on Movie Eye that it was a via venue address which had already gone bad when I sent it. But, I did get it back, but it was a different address. Either way, I am very happy!
It's kinda a coincidence that I got this, as we are reading Romeo and Juliet out loud like a play in my Language Arts class.

Thanks fanmail topic posters!!!!
Next I'm going to try to get Spamalot, any help with that?
