Re: Bruce Willis - Via Venue - Comments on authenticity welc
He denied people outside Misery, so my autograph must be a fake. Great logic! Maybe this is because he doesn't want to stand around signing before and after every show. Kind of rude to call someone atrocious because they don't want to placate the ebayers! That said, I agree to be 100% skeptical of anything TTM.Greg2600 wrote:First of all, that was the Letterman show, where pretty much everyone came out to sign. I've seen him multiple times so far at Misery exiting, he signs 5 or 6 playbills, no photos with, and barely says anything, despite 40 people waiting. The absolute bare minimum. In my opinion, ALL of his VV are not his signature. To me that qualifies as atrocious. Helen Mirren was a pain to get anything IP from, but she 100% signed everything sent to her VV.michaelwsnyder wrote:Funny, the video I posted shows him taking a photo with a fan. Are you saying JSA is not trust worthy for authentication?
Sorry, but I wouldn't put any more stock in something JSA/PSA certified than not. I've seen fakes certified, and I've seen 100% authentic merch failed. It's a big racket. Perhaps if they are on site at a signing, and you pay them $15 for the stamp, or via a specific private signing where they are on site, fine. But to authenticate something via the mail, have fun with that. The names may have changed, the business remains the same.

I think you have to be a bit naive to be into this hobby. I remain skeptical, and value your opinion. After all, it's Bruce Willis, and the chances are very unlikely. One thing I found odd about this success, he (or his sec) has personalized damn near every success I've seen, beside this one. Also, If it is his sec signing, someone is making some sweet loot off of his sec's signature. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... B&_sacat=0Greg2600 wrote:No, not ebayers. PAYING customers, he gives them scant seconds and takes off. They only allow you on one side if you have a ticket, and he still barely takes care of them. I saw Bradley Cooper do 50-60 selfies and autographs every night. Pacino comes out to a madhouse, but gives them 7/8 minutes each night.michaelwsnyder wrote:He denied people outside Misery, so my autograph must be a fake. Great logic! And I never claimed that had anything to do with authenticity of anything, merely an example of how little he truly cares about fans. If you believe Bruce is sitting there signing TTM at the theater, I'm afraid you're naive. I wish he did, I would have sent items in for sure. The proof is in the multiple results obtained by members of this forum. Most are not Bruce's handwriting for sure, only a few deviate from those, and IMO still aren't the real deal. My opinion of Willis is irrelevant, just compare the signatures.

The last name matches up very much on this photo w/ proof of signing.

video proof of the photo being signed.

He may be, I agree. But, I still think the several examples I've posted have similarities to my success. Not trusting authenticators is a tad extreme to me. If one can't trust them, who can we trust? But, that last example that I posted (with video proof) is very close to the Beavis and Butthead cover. I'm pretty sure these success are real. The "your pal" success I've seen are questionable, anything in the silver sharpie (which he seems to use outside Misery in all the vids I've seen) I think might be real. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure this is a success. I've received many secs in my day, never delusional about any of them. This looks authentic to me. He may be a tough IP, but thinking he's above taking a fan letter is silly. It's improbable, but not impossible.autograph hound wrote:I agree with Greg....... BW is usually notorious difficult IP.

What I have done is compiled a bunch of evidence in favor of proving some Bruce Willis successes coming from Misery may be real.Greg2600 wrote:If you believe Bruce is sitting there signing TTM at the theater, I'm afraid you're naive. Here is an example of Bruce Willis' signature from a Studio Fan Mail preprint.

And another very nice "Full Name" signature.
Here's an example posted by member Greg2600.

Here's in person successes from Misery in NYC.

Now, Here's my success from Misery.

Let's start with the B's in Bruce Willis first name.

Moving on to the W's, and the way he signs his I's in Willis.

... More to come.

Using this recent IP from Misery, The comparisons are undeniable. All the styling as noted above, except in this picture you can clearly see that the "S" curves in and under just like the TTM.
