Did you tell him they were going to be gifts for friends or family? I sometimes request an auto for a friend when I ask one for myself, I find that my best successes are those. I also noticed when someone asks Stan Lee for an autograph for someone else (birthday/christmas present) he personalizes, but when someone writes for themselves, he doesn't
yeah basically in my letter I asked if he could make the one out to my friend and then i wrote that it was going to be a cool xmas gift like I said Im not complaining just reporting lol
