The rule was put in place by the RSC to prevent huge amounts of eBay hunters loitering at the stage door during the day, and mobbing it after the show. As it is, there's still a large amount of people trying to get autographs who weren't even at the show.

David answering fanmail posted there is his choice. Be thankful for that

If I was him Id do hamlet only things too.

Think about it. You do something as big as Doctor who and now you plan to leave you want to do differant things you want to be know for doing something else just as good, known for being an actor who has a tallent in many differant areas and still someone sticks a doctor who picture in your face just after you've worked his arse off for 3 hours doing hamlet.

Its like working in smartie factory for 12 hours a day every day for month, last thing you want to do is eat smarties. (can you tell im eating smarties )

Its up to him what he signs TTM. When I sent just a letter and SASe with my 1st request and he sent his own Dr Who pic - his decision. I wasnt sure he would sign the Doctor who pics i sent him but I did. Dealers arent likely to write TTM as David usually personalizes not that this will prevent them from selling them but its certainly helps. Remember the desision was the RSC and not the cast. Also David isnt signing ANY photos of himself in person - not just Dr.Who stuff.

Is there a chance he reads these VV letters? I just put alot of effort into mine.
