Hey everyone! I got back my request from the solo play "Thurgood" which I sent around 2 week ago. Laurence Fishburne, famous for Matrix, played the one and only character in this play, Thurgood Marshall. I really wanted to write to him and finally got a success. I am not sure of authenticity, if anyone can tell me.

My stamps were not cancelled so thats great news too. I really wished it was an opening night playbill, but I am really happy I got something back. I nice addition to my collection.

What was really nice was that the person who sent this back to be also added a "Dressing Room List" with the playbill outlining certain rooms in the theatre. Its quite cool.

As far as authenticity goes, I'm no expert on Laurence Fishburne's signature, but I've never heard of a secretarial Playbill before, so I'd assume it's authentic. Congratulations on a great success!

I didn't know that he'll sign so I didn't request one. I have to write to him soon.

Compared to the few recent ip examples I know of him, it looks to match, although it is abbreviated, his older signature actually looks very different, (he used to spell out his full name).
But I'd say it's a very good chance it's authentic. Congrats on your success. ;-)
