Today I got a reply from Daniel Radcliffe.
Date Sent: Sept. 22, 2008
Date Received: Oct. 27, 2008
Address Used:
Danielle Radcliffe
"Equus"
c/o Broadhurst Theatre
235 West 44th Street
New York, NY 10036
USA
Sept. 25th - Feb 8, 2008
I sent a LOR, SASE, and 2-8x10 CPs.
I received my two photos back autographed.
I found this site that claims to have authentic samples of Daniel Radcliffe's autograph. Click on the "Autographs" link. Then click on the individual photos to enlarge. The autographs from an 'older' age match mine perfectly.

Do the photos fade? The colour looks weird.

Congrats! I wrote to him and am awaiting a success, but I wrote to him before I left for college and the SASE has my home address on it, not my current address. So I won't know if I was successful until I return home in a month...

Hi nightowl!
Big congrats on your success!

Daniel is one of the best young actors today. {thumb2} All of his autographs via "Equus" are
authentic,
here's a topic about it.

It matches very good with his current autrographs,
and keep it mind, NOT everyone is getting successes, he only replies to some. His agent only picks out some letters for him to sign, also check out Romana's (Sammya)
success - he personalised hers, if it were a secretary signing, she would've treat
everyone the same, and not just personalised some. It's also Dan's handwriting. {thumb2}
Good luck collecting,
zanne

The reason the photos look 'weird' to you is that I lightened them. Both these photos were really dark, so when it comes to signing them with a black felt pen you can't see the autograph. Or it leaves 'very little' room to sign where you can see it. So, I put them in photobucket and lighten them so that they can sign the photo "anywhere" and I will see the signature. It's either that or leave a 2" strip of white across the bottom to give them a place to sign where you can see it.
With the Equus photo the entire bottom half of the photo was so dark that you couldn't see anything. Now I see that he is holding a saddle and maybe a halter. Most of the photo was so dark I couldn't make it out.
So, no, they are not 'faded', as you put it. If I didn't lighten them it may have been signed where I couldn't see the signature. Either that or I would be forced to chose another photo which wouldn't have been my first choice.

If you are sending vv you need to send something for them to sign. It's very rare that a celeb has photos with them vv---I have seen it, but it's not common. With a play they can always sign the program though. You also need to supply them with a SASE as they won't have stamps available, or be able to pop out to the post office to mail it.

Yes, I am aware they are authentic. I was just offering evidence for people as "so many" posts in these forums never bother to mention anything about what they received---as to whether it's AP, PP, etc. I find that extremely frustrating not to be informed.
I was not aware that he was only signing "certain" requests. Where did you read that his agent picks out some for him to sign? And what is he basing that on? Does he read them for him?
And yes, I did see the personalized one. When I saw that I was then hoping that he would personalize mine. When I saw it wasn't I felt disappointed. I guess my letter wasn't moving enough. Don't get me wrong, I 'love' my autograph. But there is just something about a celeb saying something sweet that just makes the experience of receiving it "very moving for me".
