I sent a SASE, letter and photo to Owen via "Night of The Museum" set on June 30th and yesterday, I received a SFM PP I'm so disappointed but at least it's better than nothing, you know. I actually thought he would sign my photo or something but I guess I was wrong
i CAN LUV U 4EVER BUT NEVER WiLL i BE iN LOVE WiTH U 'TiL U LUV ME
Thing about VV, is that a lot of people never call the production office to confirm they forward. So a LOT of the VV requests that never come back may be due to the production office not forwarding. That is what most likely happened to me at first.
But I now always call and confirm, and I make sure it is the on set PO, and I make sure when they say they'll forward that it means it's going to the actor and not their agency. I discovered that when I sent to Travolta VV in the US. They said sure they'd forward. And then I got back a secretarial from his agency. I was shocked.
I then called about a Pierce Brosnan movie being shot in NY. The phone number I was calling was on the west coast. So when she said that she would forward I questioned it. I said: "So you're going to send that to the set in NY." To which she replied: "No, that is going to his agency."
That was the first time I realized I needed to ask if it's going to the actor on the set and NOT the agency. I now ask that every time they say yes.
So, if they say it will definitely get to the actor, and you send it in plenty of time, then the actor has chosen not to sign, and it has nothing to do with the PO not forwarding.
Just because there is a addy posted in VV doesn't mean it works. Someone has to call and check. There are a lot of really great people helping out offering info, and they are much appreciated! {thumb2} But unless one of the people interested in that venue calls to confirm . . . there is no way to know for sure.
