Margaret Preece success! (Sound of Music)

Hi I sent a letter of request and picture including an SASE to the lovely opera singer Margaret Preece who is currently playing the Mother Abbess in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End production of the Sound of Music at the beautiful London Palladium Theatre. She even included some cardboard to keep it flat in the Christmas mail and wrote a little note on the front and on the back encouraging me as I told her about my singing lessons and how I was eager to learn. She's definitely made my day! Unfortunately some of the writing and signiture has worn of in the post, as it appears to have been signed in a gel pen onto a glossy photo surface. Does anyone know how best to protect it from further wearing away?

Hi - the Sound of Music is my favourite movie too! However, this success is from Margaret Preece from the amazing current West stage version of the Sound of Music, not Peggy Wood from the 1965 movie who sadly passed away quite a few years ago. If you are into the musical in general however, you may still want to try her however as she is a lovely lady and a fantastic Mother Abbess!

Congratulations! I got a success from her this summer... she's very kind, and a great lady. She's also a great talent... I know her from dubbing over Minnie Driver for "Phantom of the Opera".

Thanks! Yeah she is fantastic - great voice in Phantom, I agree!
