Wicked Success!!!

I sent an SASE and LOR to the Gershwin Theatre stagedoor on 12/11/08, and got a response today 1/02/09!
I got a signed playbill from the current cast, and signed playbill from the July 2007 cast. They also icluded a letter of thanks!They did not use my SASE, and the resturn address is different than the theatre's. I guess it is the Wicked Headquarters.

Awesome!! Great success! I'm still waiting on mine I really hope I get it back. I sent it around November. I wonder whats taking so long. Yours came quicker.

Congrats Sam on the awesome success! Cool that you got two different ones...and it looks like the July '07 one is Julia Murney & Kendra Kassembum (spelling?!)...that's the cast I got to see. Kendra was excellent!

And I sent one back in October-ish in hopes of getting Ms. Kerry Ellis, but nothing!

And it seems that Wicked only seems to send ONE request back...or atleast to personal experience. Is this your first Wicked-cast-signed success or have you had multiple? Thanks!


Edit - Wicked sends all fanmail through an office that is not directly attached to the theatre...I believe it is sent across the street or something. As Wicked was hugely popular from 2003-2006ish, the amount of fanmail was so much that there wasnt' enough room! (Not to say Wicked still isn't popular..!)

If they have signed playbills from 2007, they should probably have some with Kerry. Try to request a specific cast. The people sending out the playbills seem very nice.

I've written three times and only heard back once, which is fine...it was also from the Kendra/Julia cast so it was all good!

And Ellis was only there from like May - November I believe? It's OK though..just collecting some "research" !
