Mr. Richard Griffiths
"Equus"
c/o Broadhurst Theatre
235 W. 44th Street
New York, NY 10036
Sent: 1/09/09. Sent 1 photo of Richard and Dan, SASE, cardboard stiffener, and letter requesting Richard's auto and Dan's, if possible.
Received: 1/16/09. Photo signed by Richard with Dan's signature done by Richard as well. The 'R' in Richard's signature matches the 'R' in Radcliffe.
I am excited about the Richard success, but would have rather he sent it back without signing for Dan himself. I already got some pictures signed by Dan, so I'm not too upset about it.

I don't think that Richard WOULD sign for Dan - whatever the similarity in the letter R . I tried when he was in London , and he signed it then sent it back . However the R looks , the rest of the letters look like Dan's - just look at the tiny fs and the cl that look like a d .

It would be awesome if it was real, but I doubt it. I've never seen Dan sign anything with just "Dan Radcliffe." I've only ever seen it with "Daniel Radcliffe."
This is my previous success from Dan and I think they look completely different, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Its definately not signed by Daniel, not only the 'r' is like Richards, but 'dan' appears to be in capitals and also he never signed 'dan' but daniel. Soory

This is a very intestering success. It might not be faked by Richard, maybe someone who deals with fanmail...

Yeah, I didn't really believe it was real. I'm still excited about getting Richard's auto, but it kinda bums me out and makes me feel like the pic is almost ruined with a fake Dan autograph there too.

Yes - what I meant was that I don't think that RICHARD signed it - it doesn't really look like the Daniel one you have shown , but it doesn't strike me that Richard was the type to do anything other than sign for himself .
If not Daniel , maybe one of the crew or aides signed it ?

Well done on your Richard success. The join from the c to the l in Radcliffe and the c to the h in Richard look similar to me, though. Maybe Daniel couldn't sign and he felt that he couldn't send it back without the other sig.
cheers,
sf.

i think its a bit naughty to be honest. i hate fake signitures - id rather have my pic sent back unsigned than have a sec or someone else sign it for me.

That's kinda how I feel. I might send out to Richard again and just ask him to sign. There's still some time before the play closes and he seems to be pretty quick with sending stuff back, at least it was very quick for me.
I just don't want him to recognize my address and think I'm greedy or something though. I'll think about it.
