its funny how they keep signing in the same spots, they must pass them around a table or something.

Quite essentially, nearly every Broadway show, the stage manager gets X to sign the stack, then gets X to sign the stack, etc. And then that stack sits backstage until they're all gone and repeat. That's generally how it's done..!
