I had never heard of Bye Bye Birdie until I found out that Nolan Gerard Funk was going to play Conrad Birdie in the Broadway revivial of the show. I was interested in learning more about BBB and that was when I learned of the two movies based on the original run of the show. I ended up finding the 1963 movie on YouTube and I loved it!

While searching the Fanmail.biz forum sections I learned that it was possible to request signed playbills through the mail and so I decided to give it a shot and send in a request!

On December 15th, 2009 I sent a request for a Cast-signed Bye Bye Birdie playbill and I received my playbill on January 27th, 2010.

I wish Nolan signed it! I really want his autograph! He's an amazing actor! I also sent in a separate request for Nolan, but I'm not sure I'll get a reply since the show is over,. Hopefully I will though!

I added anouther picture to my first post. I have a scanner but it isn't the flatbed kind, so I can't scan the playbill to get a better picture.

I was able to make out 15 of the signatures on my playbill. I think there's a total of 28 signatures on it. Trying to read the signatures was impossible after awhile so I just tried to match up the cursive letters to the cast names in the playbill, seeing if I could find a possible match.

Overall, even though a couple of the main people didn't sign, I'm happy with the playbill. I wanted something from the show because I couldn't go see it.

LOL! Me too! mine was signed by 28/36 cast members and I could identify all but eight of them. Here's a link to my success along with my playbill and a signer list:

I contacted Nolan via his myspace page last week asking if he could look at mine and let me know if he signed it or not. If you have myspace you might want to try the same thing too. Still waiting to hear back from him. Hopefully I will soon.

Thanks for the signer list! Now I know who else to look for! I didn't know Nolan had a MySpace! ;o I knew he had Twitter, but that was it. I have a MySpace. Is his easy to find? Think there's a chance of getting a reply if I send a picture to the address of his in the database? There isn't any feedback.

Yeah his was pretty easy to find. I basically just typed in hi name on Google and it came up! Have no idea if the address in the database will work or not. You can always try and find out!
