Sir Ian McKellen yay!!!!

I first wrote to Ian McKellen in 2004 (before ROTK came out) for my brother. He was really nice and sent a picture for both my brother and me. I have been wanting to write to him again for a while now, telling him about the other films I have seen him in since.
I sent one of my favourite Ganadalf pictures and a SASE on 12th March to the Haymarket theatre and today I received my picture back, dedicated and he wrote "many thanks for your letter", which is something I've not seen before.
I am very, very happy with this as Ian McKellen is one of my favourite actors and once again he has made a fan feel on top of the world.

It was a strange thing that I just used my first name initial on the SASE, and above it he added my full name. Last time I wrote, I sent no SASE and he wrote his own envelople... maybe he likes to write something on them!
